Opening Tip
• South closes out the opening month of the regular season with their sixth home game in seven contests thus far this year; the Jaguars won't have to leave their home state until a Dec. 7 trip to Tulane.
• The Jags look for back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
• The Jaguars and Tigers meet in the second half of a home-and-home agreement, with South winning last year's match-up in Nashville.
• USA is 13-8 all-time against Ohio Valley Conference schools.
• That includes a perfect 9-0 mark against current members of the league at home.

Lewis Dominates Lady Rams Last Time Out
Antoinette Lewis scored 36 points and blocked six shots — the first total set a new career high, the second matched one — to help the Jaguars post a 103-59 win over Mobile on Tuesday night, adding a game-high-tying nine rebounds as well in just missing her fourth double-double of the year.  The junior finished 16-of-20 from the floor to set a program record for field goals in a game at the Mitchell Center, surpassing the former mark of 15 set by Lyletha Gamble on Jan. 5, 2002, against New Mexico State, while recording the first 30-point performance of her career.  It was the most points by a Jag since Marquita Daniels had 37 in a home game against Georgia State on Feb. 7, 2015.

Second Record Falls To Sharpshooter
Lewis' field-goal total at the Mitchell Center wasn't the only record to fall on Tuesday as Savannah Jones became the program's all-time leader with 179 three-point field goals in an effort against the Lady Rams that saw her finish with 18 points and eight rebounds.  The junior was 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, equaling her high for makes from long distance this season as she passed Sarda Peterson (2009-12) in the Jaguar record book.

Look Out For Lowe
With South dressing just eight individuals for the Mobile contest, Devyn Lowe made the first start of her career and would go on to post career-high totals with 12 assists, nine rebounds and four steals.  With the effort, the redshirt sophomore matched Siedah Banks — who handed out 12 in a win over Mobile on Dec. 15, 2010 — for the most assists recorded in a women's game at the Mitchell Center while it marked the first time in her career that she has paced all players in assists, boards and steals.  Coming into play, Lowe had dished out 13 assists in 23 appearances.

Post Production
The Jags ended up with five individuals in double digits scoring — equaling a season high for the team first set in its defeat of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Nov. 14 — with the duo of Jala Buster and Jaylen Mallard contributing to the effort.  Buster recorded a career-best 13 points and the first two blocked shots of her career, the first time she has scored 10 or more points since South's previous win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Nov. 14.  After being credited with a rebound and block in her collegiate debut on Nov. 21 against Alabama, Mallard connected on 7-of-11 shots from the field en route to a 14-point, seven-rebound performance that was turned in in just 15 minutes of action.

Additional Notes From The Mobile Game
• It marked the first game South has scored 100 or more points since a Nov. 19, 2009 defeat of Spring Hill.
• The Jaguars' 58.1 field-goal percentage was their highest since posting a 59.6 mark since a 75-71 victory at Troy on Jan. 26, 2016.
• It was the first time USA has ended up with a double-figure block total as a team since recording 12 in a season-opening win over Spring Hill a year ago.
• After entering play with a minus-10.0 rebounding margin in their first five outings, USA was plus-18 against the Lady Rams while finishing with more than 50 boards for the first time since recording 57 in a double-overtime win at FIU on Dec. 21 last winter.
• Senior G Shaforia Kines posted her team-leading fourth outing with 10-plus points after finishing with 13 on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor.
