THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
On the win over UTA: "What a night. The seedings do not represent how good both teams are. We lost the doubles point and I think some of our guys were disappointed and surprised. You have to regroup and we did that in singles. We won the first set in five matches. We went from outdoor to indoor courts. I think there was nothing better than our No. 2 guy, the player to watch from this year, against the newcomer of the year. You can't ask for much more than 7-6 in the third in that contest. I am so proud of our seniors and captains who came up big. Oli [Gingras] and Lucas [Gonzalez] gave us crucial points. Lucas after losing a quick first set came back and won 7-5 in the third. It was big. We knew going into this match it was going to be a battle and it was. The atmosphere was like a final. Now we have to regroup because we have App State tomorrow. They are living on a high right now because they upset Louisiana. We have to make sure we take them seriously."
