2016-17: 14-11 singles record overall and 9-5 in dual matches… 6-2 on court No. 3, 2-3 at No. 4 and 1-0 at No. 6… Tied for team lead in wins on court No. 3 and had the best win percentage on that court as well… Clinched the home 5-2 win against Auburn with a 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) win on court No. 3… Earned singles wins against Florida State, Georgia State and Florida Gulf Coast… Won four-straight matches to start Feburary… Clinched the 4-3 win against six-seed Georgia Southern in the semifinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with a 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 7-5 win on court No. 3… 19-11 doubles record overall (second-most wins on the team) and 15-7 in dual matches… Went 2-1 on court No. 1, 8-2 on No. 2 and 5-4 on No. 3… Was 4-0 with Tuki Jacobs and Loic Cloes, all in dual matches, 5-3 with Pierre Noyon, 3-3 with Clement Marzol, 3-4 with Juan Cruz Soria and 0-1 with Lucas Gonzalez… Won five-straight matches and 10 of the first 11 matches with mostly Jacobs and Cloes to start the spring season… Was undefeated in the conference tournament with Noyon on court No. 3.

2015-16: 11-20 singles record overall, 6-12 in dual matches… 1-2 at No. 3, 2-5 at No. 4, 2-5 at No. 5 and 1-0 at No. 6… Won his first three singles matches either on court No. 5 or 6 to start the spring season… Won his first two matches in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, a 6-4, 6-2 win on court No. 4 against seventh-seed Georgia Southern and 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory on court No. 3 against sixth-seed Appalachian State… 11-19 doubles record overall, 7-14 in dual matches all on court No. 1… Went 9-16 overall with Gerald Gruindelingh and 7-14 in dual matches all on court No. 1, 2-2 with Tuki Jacobs in the fall and dropped a match in the fall with Lucas Gonzalez… Helped the Jags earn the doubles point against first-seed Texas-Arlington with a 7-6 win along with Gruindelingh on court No. 1.

2014-15: 15-13 singles record overall, 10-8 in dual matches… 1-0 at No. 4, 3-4 at No. 5, 6-4 at No. 6… Tied for team lead with six victories on No. 6 court… Defeated three opponents from ranked schools, including a 6-3, 6-3 win over Arjun Watane of No. 70 Central Florida… Also topped Bayo Phillips of No. 41 Drake 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 and Zvonimir Podvinski of No. 61 Old Dominion… Victory over Podvinski started a season-best three-match win streak, with the final two coming in straight sets: 6-1, 6-3 vs. UAB’s Oliver Poysti and 6-2, 6-2 vs. Jackson State’s Camilo Patino… Contributed point in USA’s quarterfinal win over Appalachian State, defeating Jan-Willem Kleynhans 6-4, 7-5… Won first four matches of fall season, including all three at Southern Miss Invitational, dispatching each opponent in straight sets… 14-8 doubles record overall, 10-6 in dual matches… 2-2 at No. 2, 8-4 at No. 3… Went 5-5 combined at Nos. 2 and 3 with Tim Srkala and 2-1 at No. 3 with Tuki Jacobs… Opened spring with three straight wins with Srkala at the Seminole Tournament, defeating teams from No. 35 Florida State (6-3), No. 70 Central Florida (6-4) and No. 66 Louisiana-Lafayette (7-6)… Extended season-opening win streak to five with Daniel Leitner and Manuel Belda over Jacksonville State (6-3) and Missouri-Kansas City (6-3), respectively… Paired with Tuki Jacobs in 8-2 win vs. No. 70 Old Dominion.

Personal: Full name is Olivier Gingras… Born Aug. 1, 1996 in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada… Son of Christian Gingras and Anne Leblond… Has an older sister, Laurie, who earned varsity letters in tennis at Saint Mary’s and Arkansas… Majoring in mechanical engineering… Hobbies include tennis, watching football and listening to music… Favorites – movie: “The Shawshank Redemption”; book: “And Then There Were None”; pro teams: Quebec Nordiques, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Blue Jays and San Diego Chargers; athletes: Roger Federer, Andrew Wiggins, Antonio Gates and P.K. Subban; musical artists: Kygo, Alesso, Zac Brown Band, Bryan Adams and Drake; foods: steak, ribs and fajitas… Listens to loud music with his teammates before matches… Thankful for his parents and Coach Brochu for giving him this opportunity… Would like to be finishing grad school in five years, and established himself as a successful engineer in 10 years… Three wishes: be a successful engineer, travel the world with friends and family, and health for him and his family.
