SOUTH ALABAMA HAS NEARLY 20 STUDENT-ATHLETES RECEIVE DEGREE SATURDAY

MOBILE, Ala. – Seventeen University of South Alabama student-athletes from six sport programs received their undergraduate degrees after taking part in the school's fall graduation ceremony on Saturday at the Mitchell Center.

Included in the group are all-Sun Belt Conference performers Wells Davis (baseball), Darian Mills (football), Kaleigh Todd (softball) — who was a third-team all-region selection as a senior — and Corliss Waitman (football).

Three Jaguar programs had multiple student-athletes graduate following the conclusion of the fall semester, with football contributing the most as seven other members of the team joined Mills and Waitman: Marice Fluellen, Maaseiah Francis, Sam Harris, Parker Mason, Jahmmir Taylor and Tyree Vines.  Three volleyball student-athletes — Kristina Alabastro, Arissa Chappell and Katelyn Lochner — received their degree at the ceremony, while Locke St. John and Zach Melton joined Davis from the baseball program.

Other student-athletes graduating on Saturday included men's basketball's Trhae Mitchell and Lexi Worrell from women's golf.
