THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Terry Fowler
On what the Southern Miss win can mean to his young team: "It was our first game this season against a Division-I opponent who was also a quality opponent in Southern Miss. To have to come back, fight, scratch and claw and hold on, while playing with different line ups and some other adversity that ensued during the game was great for our team. It was a good confidence builder."
On heading out on the road for the first time this season: "Anytime you go on the road, it's a great opportunity to bond as a team. We definitely look forward to that experience. We've been lucky to be at the friendly confines of the Mitchell Center [in our first two games]. We need to go on the road now and defend, make some shots move the basketball and play inside-out, but we've got to make sure we're good on the defensive end of the floor."
On Central Arkansas: "Coach [Sandra] Rushing and I go way back from her days at Delta State and mine at North Alabama. She's a top-notch coach and her teams are always going to play hard. They are always going to be solid on the defensive end of the floor. They are going to give it their best effort, so we know we are in for a dog-fight up there."
