2018 CoSida Academic All-District Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. – University of South Alabama sophomore outside hitter Hannah Harris was named Google Cloud First-Team Academic All-District by CoSida, as announced by the organization Thursday.
Harris, an Arts & Sciences major who boasts a 4.00 GPA, was one of eight NCAA Division I student-athletes who were voted to the team in District 4, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Puerto Rico.
First-Team Academic All-District honorees will advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot, with those teams announced in early December.
Harris has appeared in all 29 matches this season and made 19 starts. She has posted a team-best 2.65 kills per set, while recording 273 kills, 13 service aces, two assists, 108 digs and 40 total blocks. In 16 Sun Belt Conference matches, she has recorded 154 kills for an average of 2.70 kills per set, while adding three service aces, one assist, 59 digs and 26 total blocks.
Harris posted a career-high 19 kills at Arkansas State on Sept. 23 earlier this season, and has recorded double-digit kill totals in 12 matches this year. She is the first Jaguar since Tereza Bendlova (2009) to earn First-Team Academic All-District honors.
