THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
On Modica's performance in singles:Â "Great singles play by our two Jags. Sacha probably played only one bad game today. He was very solid and focused on every point. He neutralized his opponent's big aggressive game and stayed on top of him the entire match."
Â
On Serrano's performance in singles: "Sam has to fight more today. He was playing against an explosive player. He regrouped after the first set and broke down his opponent's forehand and won ten of the next twelve games. He got a little tight at the end but fought hard to win a big match."
Â
Looking ahead to main draw action: "It's a good accomplishment to have four guys in the main draw. The Southern Region is a strong region with five SEC teams. We improved from last year and we plan on having good results in the main draw."
