South Alabama holds a 45-38 all-time lead over Troy in a series that dates back to 1965 USA defeated the Trojans 6-4 in the Cox Diamond Invitational in Pensacola, Fla., on March 4 in a non-conference contest. Troy defeated USA 5-4 in 10 innings in last weekend's series opener before the Jaguars won the final two games of the series.
Last Time Out
South Alabama took two of three games from Troy last weekend at Stanky Field to capture its fifth consecutive Sun Belt Conference series. The Jags fell 5-4 in 10 innings in the series opener, but took game two 10-6 and won the rubber match 10-7 on a walk-off home run by Wells Davis in the bottom of the ninth inning.Â

COLLEGIATE BASEBALL
South Alabama is ranked 26th in this week's
Collegiate Baseball poll, the organization announced on Monday. Â The Jags slipped once spot from last week after taking two of three games from Troy last weekend at Stanky Field.Â
JAGS IN NATIONAL RANKINGS
South Alabama finished the regular season as the nation's leader in walks (326), ranked sixth in runs scored (436) and runs per game (8.2), seventh in sacrifice flies (31) and on-base percentage (.415), 24th in ba[tting average (.304) and 25th in hits (556).
LABOUNTY, SWAGGERTY IN NATIONAL RANKINGS
Shortstop Drew LaBounty finished the regular season ranked third nationally in walks per game (1.00), and 12th in walks (45). LaBounty enters the tournament with 144 career walks, and needs just two to tie former Jaguar Mike Mordecai (146) for second on the career list. Center fielder Travis Swaggerty finished the regular season ranked 12th nationally in on-base percentage (.485).
JAG VERSUS TROY
South Alabama hit .316 with seven doubles, five home runs, 28 RBI, 30 runs scored, two stolen bases and a .410 team on-base percentage in four games during the regular season against Troy. Colton Thomas leads the team with a .500 batting average against the Trojans, followed by Dylan Hardy (.471) and Hunter Stokes (.385)
JAGS IN NEUTRAL SITE GAMES
USA is 3-2 in five neutral site games this season, but is hitting just .245 with three doubles, two home runs, 17 RBI, 19 runs scored and seven stolen bases in those five contests. However, the Jaguar pitching staff has posted a 2.86 ERA with 46 strikeouts to 16 walks in those five games which spans 44 innings pitched. Drew LaBounty leads the team with a .429 batting average in four neutral site games played, followed by Travis Swaggerty at .353 in five contests.
TWO OR FEWER TO WIN
USA is 11-1 when allowing two or fewer runs, but is 25-18 when surrendering three or more. The Jags have allowed three or more runs in 17 of their last 18 contests, but are 14-4 during that span.
LEADING AFTER SEVEN
USA is 28-1 when leading after seven innings this season, but is 2-14 when trailing and 5-4 when tied after seven frames.Â
TWO-OUT RBI
Of USA's 413 team RBI, 158 have come with two outs which accounts for 38 percent of the Jaguars' team RBI total. Jared Barnes leads the team with 23 two-out RBI this season, followed by Travis Swaggerty with 22.
JAG OFFENSE LEADS THE SUN BELT CONFERENCEÂ
South Alabama closed the regular season as the SBC leader in batting average (.307), slugging percentage (.478), on-base percentage (.416), runs scored (456), hits (582), RBI (413), total bases (908), walks (335) and sacrifice flies (31), and ranked second in home runs (66).
JAGS WITH BASES LOADED
South Alabama is hitting .477 (42-for-88) with the bases loaded this season, led by Travis Swaggerty who has seven hits and is hitting .636 with the bags full of Jags. USA has hit seven grand slams this season, led by Eddie Paparella and Wells Davis with two each, following Davis' grand slam at Appalachian State on May 13.
RUNNERS IN SCORING POSITION
The Jags are batting .319 (204-for-639) with runners in scoring position. Travis Swaggerty leads the team with 26 hits with RISP. The Jags hit .273 (9-for-33) in their three-game series with Troy last weekend.

USA is 15-1 when scoring 10 or more runs this season and 29-7 when scoring six or more, but is 7-12 when scoring five or less.Â

ON-BASE, HITTING STREAKS
Left fielder Dylan Hardy carries a career-best eight-game hitting streak into the SBC Tournament, while second baseman Hunter Stokes has hit safely in five straight games. Travis Swaggerty reached base in 15 straight games to close the regular season.

Catcher Jared Barnes, shortstop Drew LaBounty and center fielder Travis Swaggerty were each named first-team all-Sun Belt Conference on Monday. First baseman Wells Davis and outfielder Dylan Hardy were each named second-team all-SBC.
BARNES IN SBC CONTESTS
Catcher Jared Barnes led the SBC in slugging percentage (.768) and on-base percentage (.504) during league games, tied for the lead in home runs (10), second in total bases (73) and ranked third in batting average (.368) and RBI (32).
HARDY LEADS SBC IN LEAGUE GAMES
Left fielder Dylan Hardy led the Sun Belt Conference in batting average (.387) and hits (48) in league games this season, and hit safely in his final seven conference contests including three consecutive multiple-hit performances against Troy.Â
DONOVAN IN SBC GAMES
Outfielder Brendan Donovan finished the regular season as the league leader in runs scored (38) in conference games, ranked second in doubles (11) and RBI (34), third in total bases (71) and walks (25), tied for fourth in hits (42), fifth in batting average (.356) and on-base percentage (.473), sixth in slugging percentage (.602) and tied for eighth in home runs (6).Â
BARNES NATIONAL, CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Catcher Jared Barnes was named the National Hitter of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on May 16, after earning National Player of the Week honors from Collegiate Baseball and SBC Player of the Week on May 15. Barnes batted .556 (10-for-18) with four doubles, three home runs, 13 RBI and four runs scored while posting a 1.278 slugging percentage and .524 on-base percentage in four games in a three-game sweep at Appalachian State May 13-14. He hit safely in all four contests, tallying multiple hits in each game, and drove in at least one run in each game including three multi-RBI performances.Â
SWAGGERTY AMONG SBC LEADERS
Outfielder Travis Swaggerty finished the regular season tied for the league lead in runs scored (52) and on-base percentage (.484), ranked second in batting average (.357) and RBI (55), Â third in walks (44), fifth in slugging percentage (.571) and stolen bases (18), and tied for eighth in hits (70) and home runs (10).
BARNES TOPS IN THE LEAGUE
Jared Barnes enters the weekend as the SBC leader in slugging percentage (.612), and ranks second in RBI (50). In SBC contests, Barnes leads the league in batting average (.376), slugging percentage (.785), on-base percentage (.508), home runs (10), RBI (32) and total bases (73).
DAVIS' LAST TWO SERIES
First baseman Wells Davis batted .458 with six home runs, 18 RBI, 12 runs scored and seven walks while posting a 1.208 slugging percentage and .594 on-base percentage in his final two Sun Belt series, at Appalachian State and against Troy, which spanned six games. Davis finished the regular season ranked third in the league in RBI (54), tied for fourth in sacrifice flies (4), fifth in home runs (12) and tied for ninth in slugging percentage (.536). He finished tied for the league lead in home runs (10) in SBC games, ranked third in slugging percentage (.684), fourth in runs scored (32) and eighth in on-base percentage (.447).
CARR'S LAST FOUR STARTS
Right-hander Tyler Carr has won his last four starts, and has struck out 23 batters against seven walks in 24 1/3 innings pitched during that span including a career-high 11 at Appalachian State on May 13.
