MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama softball team's game at No. 1 Florida State Tuesday night has been postponed due to expected rainfall in the Tallahassee, Fla., area. The two teams are working to reschedule the game, but no makeup date has been determined at this time.
The two teams had been scheduled to meet up at 5 p.m. (CT) later on tonight, but with rain totals of an inch to an inch-and-a-half expected at JoAnne Graf Field, FSU officials made the decision early Tuesday morning. The Seminoles moved up from No. 3 in both polls on Tuesday earning the program's first-ever top ranking.
South Alabama (9-1) will next compete in its third home tournament of the season when the Jags host the South Alabama Invitational at Jaguar Field Friday – Saturday. USA will take on Tennessee Tech (4 p.m.) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (6:30 p.m.) on Friday and then Middle Tennessee (2 p.m.) and Stephen F. Austin (7 p.m.) on Saturday at Jaguar Field.
