Miscellaneous Notes
-The Jags ran 115 plays in 75 minutes — which included a short break midway through the scrimmage — with the offense gaining 709 yards including 517 through the air.
-The USA defense posted 11 tackles for loss, including seven sacks, and intercepted four passes; the unit was also credited with seven passes defensed.
-The Jaguars did not allow a touchdown on any of the offense's first 10 possessions, and after surrendering their first score Margo Reed responded with an interception he ran back for a touchdown to end the offense's ensuing drive.
-Nineteen individuals combined to make 33 catches, as no one finished with more than three receptions.
-The final 20 minutes of the event saw the Jags work on third-down situations, with the offense converting 14-of-29 times from distances of six, seven and eight yards; on Floyd's first possession in the situation he moved the chains four times with completions for 35, 20, 41 and 44 yards.
-The final play of the day had the offense facing fourth-and-four from the defense's 44-yard line, with the defense ending the drive after Akeem Lewis stopped Xavier Johnson in the backfield.
-Prior to the scrimmage, the Jaguars played host to over 100 individuals as part of their annual Junior Day.

Head coach Joey Jones
-On whether the offense or defense had the advantage: "It's hard to tell, each unit would go six plays so there wasn't a lot of continuity.  The offense had some big plays and did some good things and I thought our punters kicked the ball extremely well, but we're evaluating individuals right now so I will know a lot more after I watch the film."
-On the final play of the day: "I wanted to put one pressure play on them at the end to see who would come through, and the defense stepped up.  It's all about competition and making plays when you have to."
-On if one side of the ball is ahead of the other now: "I don't know who is ahead, we're really not focusing on that.  But I like the way both sides are working, I like the tempo that the offense is running.  Defensively I thought we stepped it up today, probably better than they have earlier in the spring.  We're getting better on both sides."
-On the tempo of the scrimmage: "I thought the kids handled it very well and coaches did a good job of getting their calls in.  I bet that is going to help us in the fall."
-On which individuals stood out to him: "Dami Ayoola had a couple of good runs, and E.J.'s performance was big.  He is a seasoned guy who needs to play well; he's been around and understands the game, now he needs to come on as a senior and become a great football player for us."

Up next: USA is off on Sunday and will return to practice on Monday
