MOBILE, Ala. – As the University of South Alabama football program enters its final week of offseason drills, details have been set for the Red-Blue Game that will conclude the spring season Saturday.
The contest will begin at 2 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, with admission and parking free to the public. It will feature two 10-minute quarters in the opening half with a standard game clock, and a pair of 12-minute periods with a running clock after a 10-minute break.
The stadium parking lot will open at 10 a.m. for tailgating, with the general public asked to enter via Lott or Virginia Streets on the west/northwest side of the stadium. Beginning at 11 a.m. — and running until 15 minutes prior to kickoff — USA’s College of Medicine will hold its annual Gumbo & Chili Showdown in the east parking lot, with the cost $8 per ticket if purchased via the College of Medicine web site and $10 on the day of the game.
Gates to the stadium will open at 1 p.m., with seating in all but the east stands; limited concessions will be available at points along the west concourse, as well as areas to purchase season tickets and select seats through the USA Athletic Ticket Office, and JagWear merchandise. The Jag-Gals will also be on site recruiting new members for their organization.
Following the contest, fans will be allowed on the field for 30 minutes to get autographs and pictures with Jaguar student-athletes and coaches. Those attending the Red-Blue Game will receive four tickets to attend a USA baseball game against Florida International either Saturday at 6:30 p.m. or at noon on Sunday.
The Red and Blue squads will be determined via a draft later in the week.
