STARKVILLE, Miss. – All softball games for Sunday, the final day of competition at the Mississippi State Bulldog Kickoff Classic, have been cancelled due to impending weather, the university announced today.
 
All three games slated to take place on Sunday were called off in consideration of players, staff and fans traveling to the tournament, with a line of severe weather approaching Starkville from the southwest.
 
USA’s Tuesday matchup at defending-national champion Alabama is still scheduled to take place. USAJaguars.com will immediately provide notification should any variation occur.
 
The Jaguars finished the weekend 3-1 after a season-opening defeat of host MSU on Thursday, a Friday split with Southern Illinois-Edwardsville (L, 1-2) and Tennessee State (W, 9-1) and a Saturday victory over Georgia State, 8-0, in six innings.
