JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama’s softball games against Southern Illinois and Jacksonville State were cancelled due to inclement weather on the final day of the Jacksonville State Invitational Sunday morning.
USA was scheduled to face the Salukis for the second time this weekend at 10 a.m. Sunday morning followed by the rescheduled game with JSU. The Jags were originally slated to take on the Gamecocks Saturday afternoon, but rain forced the game to be rescheduled for today.
The Jaguars were undefeated in the two games they played this weekend with an 8-1 win over Southeastern Louisiana on Friday and a 16-0 victory over Southern Illinois Saturday making them 3-3 on the season.
South Alabama returns to action Feb. 21 when they square off with Nicholls State at 3 p.m. in Thibodaux, La.
