JAGUAR SOFTBALL RAINED OUT ON DAY TWO OF MARDI GRAS INVITATIONAL

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama softball team’s contest with Memphis, game five of the Mardi Gras Invitational, was canceled due inclement weather Friday evening.

Because the Jags are slated to take on the Tigers Sunday at 4:15 p.m. at Jaguar Field, Friday’s game will not be rescheduled.
Before the rain began, nationally ranked Alabama downed Memphis 8-0 in five innings of work in the third game of the day. Prior to that, Lipscomb went 1-1 on the day, shutting out Jacksonville State 2-0 in the first game of day two, before falling 3-1 to Mississippi State.

Saturday morning JSU will take on MSU at 10 a.m., followed by the Gamecocks’ game against the Tigers at 12:30 p.m.

Alabama will square off with Lipscomb at 3 p.m. before South Alabama battles the Tide at 5:30 p.m.
