MOBILE, Ala. – The theme of Homecoming this year at the University of South Alabama is “South’s Got Game,” an appropriate designation with the number of events scheduled to take place the second half of the week.

Not only will the football, soccer and volleyball teams be in action over the weekend, but the men’s and women’s basketball programs will make their 2011 debut as well.

Activities will begin Thursday night with a pep rally for the Jaguar football team, which will begin at 7 p.m. at the Moulton Tower and Alumni Plaza outside the Mitchell Center.  The Lady Jag volleyball program will be featured that night as well, taking on Troy at Jag Gym in a Sun Belt Conference match scheduled to start at the same time.

Following the annual Homecoming Parade, set to take place at 6 p.m. Friday on USA Drive South by the Moulton Tower, there will be a free event at the Mitchell Center.  At 7 p.m., the men’s and women’s basketball teams will be introduced at “Moonlight Madness” - which is sponsored by Jimmy John's - as will the Homecoming Court; also scheduled at that time is the soccer team’s match against Arkansas State, which will take place at The Cage.

Saturday will see the Jag football team play host to Tennessee-Martin, with kickoff at Ladd-Peebles Stadium scheduled for 2:30 p.m.  The Jaguar Prowl will begin with the squad’s arrival at the stadium at 12:10 p.m.

The weekend will close with the Jaguar soccer team returning to action at The Cage Sunday at 1 p.m. against UALR.
