SOUTH ALABAMA TO HOST NICHOLLS STATE FRIDAY ON ?FREE HOT DOG NIGHT?

MOBILE, Ala. ? The University of South Alabama soccer team will return to action Friday night against the Nicholls State Colonels. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at “The Cage.”

 

Free hot dogs will be available while they last, courtesy of the Jags Upper 90 Booster Club. Drinks will be available from Mobile Soccer Club’s concessions.

 

The Jags are 2-0 in the all-time series against Nicholls State. South Alabama defeated the Colonels 4-2 last season during the Lion Classic in Hammond, La. while it knocked off NSU 1-0 during the schools’ first-ever meeting in 2000 at “The Cage.”

 

South Alabama enters the match in search of its first win of the season. Senior goalkeeper Kelsie Langford comes into the contest just three saves shy of breaking the program’s all-time career total of 305.

 

Nicholls State enters the match with a 2-0 record. The Colonels are led by the top-scoring tandem of junior forward Alicia Gautreau and sophomore forward Kaity Mattsson, who have three goals each.  

 

The match will be available via webcast, which can be accessed through www.usajaguars.com. Fans may purchase the webcast through their Jaguar Nation subscription, which costs $9.95 per month.
