Torres won both the discus and the hammer throw at the 2011 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships to be named the Outstanding Men's Field Performer while helping the Jaguars to a fourth-place finish as a team.  Torres was the only individual to surpass 51 meters in the discus Friday night to take his first title, then claimed the hammer on Sunday with a mark that was nearly a meter-and-a-half further than the event's runner-up.
