Ellis nearly had South Alabama’s first triple-double in 26 seasons Saturday afternoon against Arkansas State, finishing with eight points, eight rebounds and a career-high seven rebounds, with the seven blocks one shy of tying a Mitchell Center record. With her seven blocks, Ellis also moved into seventh place on South Alabama’s career blocks chart as she now has 83 during her time in a Jaguar uniform. She also had six points, nine rebounds and two blocks against Little Rock on Thursday night in USA's Sun Belt opener and in her two games this past week, she averaged seven points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game, while shooting 41.2 percent from the floor.
