Viel helped lead the Jaguars to a 7-0 victory over Southern Mississippi in their only match of the week, winning at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. He downed Jovan Zeljkovic in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 on the No. 1 court, while also teaming with Romain Bocaert in doubles to defeat Jan Burmeister and Julen Roussell 8-5. Viel is ranked 20th in singles and fourth in doubles in the Southern region, and holds the No. 36 doubles ranking nationally with Bocaert.
