Pienaar was named the Sun Belt Conference Male Runner of the Week Wednesday following his performance at the Chile Pepper Invitational, where the freshman — who hails from Boksburg, Gauteng, South Africa — finished fifth overall and was fourth among all competitors from NCAA Division I schools.  His efforts helped the Jaguars place seventh in a field of 20, ahead of five schools in last week’s regional rankings as well as two other conference members.
