Frechou established a new school record in the men's hammer throw for the third time this season, posting a measure of 63.27m on his sixth and final attempt Thursday at the Texas Relays to finish fifth in the 25-man field. That distance currently ranks eighth on the NCAA East Region qualifying list and is 18th in the country.
