Schumacher broke his own school record in the heptathlon to highlight the Jaguars' mid-week performance at the Samford Stand Alone Multi Competition.  He  tallied 5,084 points over the course of two days to surpass his previous personal record – which already stood as the top mark in Jag history – by 53 points; that point total was good for a second-place finish at the meet and currently ranks eighth in the NCAA.  The senior had a career-best 11.89m toss in the shot put and equalled another personal mark after finishing the 60-meter dash in 7.14 seconds on the opening day of the competition.
