In helping the Jaguars to a 4-0 mark this weekend, Beard recorded a shutout against Seton Hall -- granting only one hit to the Pirates -- before being called on to escape a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the first inning against Delaware in the following game. Beard then struck out the next two Blue Hen batters to preserve the scoreline, proving paramount in USA’s eventual 1-0 victory. Beard moved to 5-0 this weekend, as she currently leads the club in strikeouts with 43 in 31 innings pitched.
