Hassell's defense was key in helping the South Alabama volleyball team improve to 4-3 in Sun Belt play as the freshman libero recorded a career-high 27 digs in USA’s 3-2 road victory over Troy on Friday;  the total also tied with four other players as fifth-most in a single-match at South Alabama and were part of a season-high 90 digs by the Jaguars as a team.  It was the fourth 20-dig match of the season for Hassell, who also had an ace against the Trojans.
