Biography

AT SOUTH ALABAMA
JUNIOR SEASON (2023)    

• Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List selection
• Started 50 of her 52 games played at shortstop
• Batted .264 with 28 hits, 21 runs scored and seven RBI
• Was 10-for-11 in her stolen base attempts 
• Tied for the team lead in sacrifice hits with 10, which were tied for sixth-most in a season
• Was 2-for-3 with a run scored versus Missouri State (2/17)
• Had a pair of hits and drove in a run against Mississippi State (2/24)
• Was 2-for-3 and scored three runs in a victory over Tennessee Tech (3/3) in South’s first game of the Jane B. Moore Memorial 
• Scored two runs each versus Bowling Green (3/4), at Texas State (3/25) and at Southern Miss (4/30) in game two of a doubleheader
• Was a perfect 3-for-3 with a triple in the series opener at Southern Miss (4/28)

AT CHIPOLA COLLEGE
• Two-year letterwinner at Chipola College in Marianna, Fla.
• Two-time first-team all-Panhandle Conference selection
• Recruited out of JUCO by Georgia Southern, Troy and Mississippi State among others
• Turned a game-ending, triple play at the state tournament 

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2022)    
• Helped the Lady Indians finish ranked 14th in the final NJCAA DI poll after compiling a 35-11 record
• Earned all-state honors from the Florida College Systems Activities Association (FCSAA) and both first-team NJCAA all-Region VIII and all-Panhandle Conference honors 
• Led Chipola in multiple offensive categories: batting average (.430), runs (48), hits (67), doubles (16), stolen bases (34), and on-base percentage (.491)
• Was ninth in the Florida College System Activities Association Athletics  and second in the Panhandle in batting average
• Also ranked in the top 20 of the FCSAAA hits, runs scored, and was tied for seventh in stolen bases, ranking 36th in the NJCAA in the latter category
• Had 18 multi-hit games
• Stole at least one base in 11-straight outings and accumulated 17 total over that stretch

FRESHMAN SEASON (2021)    
• Named first-team all-Panhandle Conference
• Helped Chipola finish ranked 14th in the final NJCAA DI poll, and led the Lady Indians to their sixth state title
• Missed her first 11 games of the season, but still competed in 34, producing 10 multi-hit outings
• Finished the season with a .444 batting average, which led the club, compiling 36 hits and 19 stolen bases
• Ranked 13th in the FCSAAA in batting average and 19th in the league in stolen bases
• Also had a .489 on-base percentage

AT WEST HARRISON HIGH SCHOOL    
• Lettered in both softball and soccer at West Harrison High School in Gulfport, Miss.
• Was a member of a Hurricane squad that made an appearance in the state championship game during her eighth grade season
• Led WHHS to a pair of district championships in softball
• Helped West Harrison to a South State championship in soccer in 2017
• Left holding program records in batting average (.576), slugging percentage (.623) and on-base percentage (.629)
• Had 13 straight hits in 13 consecutive plate appearances during her sophomore season
• Played 10 years of travel ball for the Mississippi Sound
• Graduated high school as a junior and skipped her senior year

• Daughter of Todd and Tonya Sims (birth) / Ginger Sims (stepmom)        
• Third of five children in her family     
• Has one younger brother, Walker and three sisters, Sydney-Brooke, Sydney and Alexandra    
• Sister, Sydney-Brooke played one season of softball at Mississippi Gulf Coast CC        
• Wants to go into college coaching
• Game superstition is to have a snickers and drink blue powerade for games
• Majoring in interdisciplinary studies
