Piero Previte was promoted to Director of Player Development for South Alabama Soccer in June 2026 after serving as a graduate assistant for the 2025 campaign. In his new role, he is responsible for coaching goalkeepers and monitoring player development through data and video analytics.
In the 2025 season, Previte was responsible for coaching goalkeepers, including Sierra Giorgio — the first Sun Belt Goalkeeper of the Year in program history. Giorgio finished the season ranked ninth in the nation in goals-against average (.588) and save percentage (.866), the latter a program best.
Prior to joining South Alabama, Previte attended the University of Mobile, where he was a soccer student-athlete. With the Rams, he would earn back-to-back regular-season championships, including a SSAC Tournament Championship in 2023. He graduated in 2024 with a degree in Kinesiology and a concentration in Psychology.
Before moving to Mobile, Previte was a student-athlete at East Central College, where he was part of a Falcon squad that earned the 2021 MCCAC Championship. He was also named a 3rd-Team Academic All-American during his time in Union.
The Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela native resides in Mobile with his partner, Emily, and their dog, Charlie.
