JUNIOR SEASON (2008-09):  Competed in all 32 games for the Lady Jags, starting 23 at the center position...In 22.4 minutes of action, averaged 4.6 points per outing, while pulling down 6.2 rebounds per game – second on the team and 18^th in the Sun Belt...ranked in a tie for third in the league in blocked shots with 1.53 per game…Her 49 blocks rank as the eight-most in a single season for the Lady Jags…Led USA in rebounding on 12 occasions during the season…Recorded a career-high 18 points versus Mercer (Nov. 24) on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor…Also recorded double figures in the season-opener against Nicholls State (Nov. 14) and at Louisiana-Lafayette (Jan. 24)…Pulled down a career-best 14 rebounds against Louisiana-Monroe (Feb. 21), 12 of which where on the defensive glass…Had games of six or more rebounds on 19 occasions.

MEDICAL RED-SHIRT SEASON (2007-08):  Sat out all of 2007-08 season due to medical reasons.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2006-07):  Started 14 of the 30 games that she competed in as a sophomore…Averaged 3.8 points per game and was the second-leading rebounder for the Jags off the bench with her 5.1 rebounds per game…Shot 37.5 percent from behind the arc…Had a then career-high 12 rebounds at Georgia Southern (Nov. 28)…Also had 10 rebounds versus Florida Atlantic on Jan. 6…Led the team in blocked shots with 24…Ranked 14^th in the Sun Belt in blocked shots per game and bettered that during conference play…Averaged over a block per game in SBC games, moving her up to 11^th in the league in that category.

RED-SHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (2005-06):  Competed in 21 of South Alabama's 29 games, averaging 1.5 ppg and 1.6 rpg...After coming in and posting a then career-high six points and five rebounds at North Texas (Jan. 28), worked her way in to the regular rotation...Set a then career-high in rebounds with seven versus Troy (Feb. 20).

FRESHMAN SEASON (2004-05): Red-shirted during the season.

AT THOMASVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: Was a multi-sport athlete at Thomasville (Ga.) HS...Lettered in three sports for the Bulldogs (Basketball, Softball, Track)...Was named co-captain for the Lady Bulldog basketball team both their junior and senior seasons...As a senior, averaged 17.0 ppg, while also grabbing 9.0 rpg...Helped lead Thomasville to a Final Four appearance in the State Tournament as a senior... As a junior, she averaged 12.0 ppg and 7.0 rpg, helping the Bulldogs make the state play-offs...Also set the school record in the 400-meter dash at Thomasville as a senior with a time of 57.6.

PERSONAL: Shaniece Collete Brunner...Has a twin sister, Patriece, who was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team at South Alabama...Was a member of the National Honor Society all four years of high school...Chose USA over Appalachian State...Majoring in Accounting.
