2009 (Junior): Saw limited action and served mostly as bullpen catcher • Led off ninth inning with pinch-hit single against New Orleans (3/20) in first at-bat of season • Finished season 1-for-4 with all four at-bats coming as a pinch hitter.
2008 (Redshirt): Sat out season as a non-medical redshirt.
Junior College (Jefferson State CC): Played two seasons for Jefferson State (Ala.) Community College, primarily as a catcher • As a sophomore in 2007, played in 45 games and hit .346 (44-for-127) with 26 RBI and 20 runs scored • Doubled six times, hit five triples and drew 15 walks • Went 3-for-4 with two runs and three RBI vs. Faulkner State (2/12) • Recorded a season-high four RBI vs. Gadsden State (4/13) when he went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles • Also notched four RBI in 3-for-4 effort vs. Bevill State-Sumiton • Followed that game with 3-for-5 performance against Snead State (5/4), the last game in a six-game hitting streak • Hit .522 (12-for-23) during streak • As a freshman in 2006, hit .308 (12-for-39) in 26 games played • Best game of freshman season came vs. Enterprise-Ozark (2/24) when he went 3-for-4 with a double, a run and a pair of RBI • Named third-team All-American • Selected first team all-district and all-region as a sophomore.
High School: Lettered three years at South Forsyth High School • Voted as one of the War Eagles' team captains • Primarily a third baseman and catcher • An all-county selection.
