Biography
2006-07: Competed in all 30 games for USA, while averaging 13.4 minutes per contest on the court...averaged 3.4 ppg and 1.3 rpg...was 22-of-66 from behind the arc for 33 percent...shot nearly 40 percent from three-point range in conference play...had a season-best 11 points versus North Texas on Jan. 28...in her final 11 games of the season, Leonard shot 42.9 (12-of-28) percent from long range.
2005-06: Leonard saw action in all 29 games, while starting three...averaged 3.4 ppg and 1.2 rpg...she was the second best three-point shooter on the club, knocking down 38.1 percent (16-of-42) of her opportunities...her best game of the season came on the road at New Orleans (Feb. 11) when she recorded a career-high 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc...all 16 of her points came in the final period of play to help the Lady Jags come from behind to win 51-42.
Pre-USA: Lettered one year at Carl Albert (Okla.) State College in Poteau, Okla.,...ranked 21st in the nation in scoring as a freshman, averaging 17.9 ppg...also ranked eighth in the nation in three-point field goal percentage at 44.3 percent...earned both first team all-region and all-conference honors.
High School: Lettered four years in basketball at Edmond Santa Fe HS in Edmond, Okla., was a McDonalds All-American nominee...tied SFHS' single season scoring record as a senior...averaged 14ppg, 5 rpg and 3 apg as a senior...two-year team captain at ESFHS.
Personal: Amanda Marie Leonard...oldest of three children in her family (one brother and one sister)...grandfather ran cross country at Kansas State...choose USA over TCU...Double majoring in Secondary Education and History.
