Meredith Frisbey

Meredith Tanner begins her fourth year as a member of the South Alabama staff after playing four years at the University of Mobile. During her first season at USA, she served as Administrative Assistant for the team and then moved to manager prior to the start of the 2008 campaign.


During her playing career, Tanner spent one season at Northwest Florida State before transferring to Mobile. At Mobile, she was a NAIA All-Conference, All-Region and Second Team All-American selection, as well as a National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association First Team All-Region and Second Team All-American selection in 2005.

 

In 2004, Tanner was named NFCA Diamond Catcher of the Year, while also garnering NAIA and NFCA First Team All-American and All-Region teams.  She was also a Gulf Coast Athletic Conference All-Conference selection.

 

She was named First Team All-Region and NFCA Second Team All-Region, as well as, being named to the NAIA National All-Tournament team in 2003.

 

Tanner graduated from Mobile in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Exercise Science.
