Karla Beasley joined the South Alabama Sports Medicine staff as a graduate assistant in 2008 where she worked primarily with the softball team. Upon graduation in 2011, she was promoted to assistant athletic trainer, working with the softball program and cheerleading squad. She is currently the athletic trainer for the women's track and field, having served that role since the spring of 2015.
Originally from Thomasville, Ala., Beasley earned her bachelor of science degree in athletic training from the University of Mobile in December, 2007. She earned her master’s degree in exercise science at South Alabama in May 2011.
She is married to Kevin Beasley, an assistant media relations director at USA. The couple has one daughter, Avery, and one son Jackson.
