Prior to arriving in Mobile, Mount spent the 2022 season as a graduate assistant coach at her alma mater, ULM.

As a player for the Warhawks, Mount was a two-time all-league and National Fastpitch Coaches Association all-region honoree during her collegiate career finishing with a .342 career batting average, 239 hits, 154 runs scored, 137  RBI, 47 doubles, and 25 home runs, while accumulating 60 multi-hit, 40 multi-RBI and 31 multi-run games in 238 games played.

She returned to the ULM lineup for her Covid season in 2021 where she earned first-team all-SBC and third-team NFCA all-South Region honors as a senior after starting all 49 games, and leading the team in batting average (.338), home runs (5), RBI (24) and runs scored (32). As a junior, Mount started 54 games for ULM, hit .302 with 49 hits, 11 doubles, seven home runs, 36 RBI, and 30 runs scored, while also compiling 10 multi-hit games, 10 multi-RBI games and nine multi-run games. She led the Sun Belt in assists (144), tied for seventh in the conference in doubles and ranked 10th in hit by pitch (8).

Mount earned both second-team all-SBC and NFCA all-region honors during the 2018 campaign at shortstop where she was hit-by-pitch 25 times, and hit .379 at the plate. She finished the season ranked first in the Sun Belt in on-base percentage (.561), which set a new single-season mark at ULM in the category, and ranked ninth in Division I. She was also eighth in the conference in slugging percentage (.545) and recorded 55 hits, 43 runs scored, and 16 multi-hit games, while finishing second in the league in assists (133).

As a freshman, Mount ranked 11th in the Sun Belt in batting average (.355) and fourth in on base percentage (.464), as she was the 10th hardest player to strike out in the league with only seven strikeouts over the entire season.

Mount arrived at ULM after a standout career at Sabine High School in Gladewater, Texas. She is the daughter of Jay and Kristi Mount, and earned her bachelor of science degree with a concentration in sports management and a minor in psychology from ULM in 2020, and then completed her master of science degree in exercise science at her alma mater in 2022.
