Becky Clark came to South Alabama in the summer of 2005 after three seasons at the University of Mobile. In just three seasons at South Alabama, Clark has helped build a solid foundation for the program. In her first season at USA, Clark helped lead the Jags to a 36-23 record in its inaugural season and a fifth place finish in the Sun Belt. Tara Donaldson was named the Sun Belt’s Newcomer of the Year. USA also had four players selected to the All-Sun Belt Second Team in 2007. In 2008, she guided USA to 22 wins. Senior outfielder Evelyne Pare was named First Team All-Sun Belt and also captured Louisville Slugger/NFCA South All-Region Second Team honors.
During the 2009 season, the Jags notched a 27-28-1 record and made their second appearance at the Sun Belt Conference Championship - finishing in fifth. Tara Donaldson and Beth Pilgrim earned all-conference honors. Pilgrim also became the first USA softball player to be named to the all-tournament team.
In her final season with the Rams, she led the 2005 team to a 51-13 record and their second consecutive fourth place finish at the NAIA National Tournament. Overall, Clark led Mobile to an outstanding 156-33-1 record and three national tournament appearances, including a national runner-up finish in 2003. She also led Mobile to three straight GCAC Tournament Championships during her time with the Rams.
While at Mobile, Clark coached two Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Players of the Year, three GCAC Pitchers of the Year, six NAIA First Team All-Americans, six NAIA Second Team All-Americans and three Honorable Mention NAIA All-Americans.
After serving as an assistant at Mobile under Mary Ann Jennings from 1994-1999, Clark served as the assistant coach at Okaloosa-Walton Community College from 2000-2002. At OWCC, Clark's responsibilities included academic counseling, budgeting, scheduling, travel arrangements, recruiting student-athletes, scouting opponents, practice organization, on-the-field coaching, and game management.
Clark also spent the 2000 season as an assistant coach at The Master's College, in Santa Clarita, CA . There, she assisted the head coach in all phases of establishing a first-year softball program.
Clark, who started her collegiate career at Troy University in Troy, Ala., and then transferred to the University of Mobile, graduated cum laude in 1995 with a B.A. in English and a Marketing minor. In 1999, she earned an M.A. in Education, and graduated with honors and a 4.0 G.P.A. Among her many accomplishments, Clark was twice named Academic All-American in 1993 and 1994. She was also a member of the NAIA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year in 1998.

- In 2003, Missy Passley was named NAIA Pitcher of the Year.
- Has coached three NAIA Scholar-Athlete All-Americans.
- Best season came in 2003 when the Rams finished 56-7-1.
- Named first head coach at the University of South Alabama on August 24, 2005.
- Coached South Alabama’s first-ever game against at Southern Miss, Feb. 14, 2007.
- Finished fifth in the Sun Belt in the program’s first year of play.
- While at South Alabama, Tara Donaldson was named the 2007 Sun Belt Conference Co-Newcomer of the Year, Evelyne Pare was selected to the 2008 Slugger/NFCA South All-Region Second Team and five players have garnered all-conference honors.
- In 2009, Tara Donaldson and Beth Pilgrim earned all-conference honors. Pilgrim also became the first Jag to be named to the SBC all-tournament team.
- USA recorded its first series win against a ranked opponent, with a pair of wins against No. 19 Louisiana Lafayette on April 10, 2009.
-In 2010, freshman Brittany Fowler earned all-conference honors.
-Beth Pilgrim named SBC pitcher of the week twice during the regular season.
