Coach Kittrell on Brad Montgomery – “Brad Montgomery has a lot of potential. He started slow in the fall and came on strong in the end. He’s a solid defensive outfielder, and he has a lot of potential with the bat.”

2009 (Redshirt):  Sat out season as a non-medical redshirt.

High School:  Played for coach Mike Good at Madison Academy in Huntsville, Ala. • Hit .347 (41-for-118) with 12 doubles, 26 RBI and 34 runs as a senior in 2008 • Added 47 strikeouts in 36.2 innings as a pitcher • Posted a 6-1 record with one save and a 2.10 ERA • As a junior in 2007, hit .426 (52-for-122) with four homers and 38 RBI • Compiled a 6-0 record with one save and a 1.37 ERA • Struck out 55 in 46.0 innings • Named ASWA Class 3A Honorable Mention All-State in 2007 • Holds school records for lowest ERA and highest batting average.

Personal:  Born Sept. 10, 1989 • First of two children to Randall and Mary Montgomery • Has a younger sister, Christian • Father is an engineer for NASA.
