High School Highlights: Played four years at Spanish Fort High, where he was part of a team that made four straight postseason appearances including winning state titles in 2013 and ’15 ... Completed 18-of-35 attempts for 188 yards as the Toros would post a 10-3 record after advancing to the quarterfinals of the state 6A playoffs ... Suffered a broken leg in season opener that forced him to miss rest of the regular season, but returned in the playoffs to help rally SFHS to a 23-22 victory in the first round over Carver-Montgomery High ... Scored touchdown to seal 23-13 victory over top-ranked Hillcrest Tuscaloosa HS the following week second-round action ... Was 14-of-23 passing for 196 yards and three scores as a junior when SFHS went 15-0 while claiming the state title ...
