Jaguar Highlights: One of four underclassmen among quarterbacks on the preseason roster ... Completed two passes for 10 yards and gained another five rushing while playing for the Red team in the annual spring game.

As A Freshman (2011): Sat out as a redshirt ... Was the coaches’ offensive scout team award winner the week of the Kent State contest.

High School Highlights: Lettered for three years, starting the final two, at Bolivar High ... Departed with school career records for passing yards (4,434), total yards (5,399) and passing touchdowns (54), as well as with standards for yards and touchdowns in a game ... Helped lead BHS to a 9-2 mark as a senior and a berth in the state Class 4 playoffs ... Selected the Central Ozarks Conference Offensive Player of the Year after going 108-of-181 passing for 1,915 yards with 22 touchdowns and only four interceptions for a 126 rating ... Rushed for 439 yards and four scores as well, earning first-team all-league honors ... Threw for 2,409 yards and 27 scores as a junior, earning first-team all-conference small division honors for his efforts ... Liberators ended that fall 12-2 overall after advancing to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs ... Earned a pair of letters in baseball, tennis and track as well ... Reached the sectional tournament in tennis as a senior.
