2023 (Fr.): Appeared in two games his freshman season at South Alabama, both being blowout wins over ULM and Southern Miss.

High School: Three-star offensive lineman according to 247Sports, Ward had offers from Ap State, Colorado State, Georgia Tech, and UAB… Played on both sides of the football and finished his senior season with six sacks and 28 total tackles from his defensive line position in 12 games.
