High School: Received two letters at nearby Hilltop High School in Chula Vista, Calif., under former Aztec quarterback Drew Westling ... Helped the Lancers to a pair of league titles, going undefeated each season ... Was the team’s special teams MVP as a senior ... According to MaxPreps, was 7-for-12 (.583) in field goal attempts and 43-for-48 (.896) in PATs ... Also was the team’s punter as a senior, punting 40 times with a long of 51 yards ... Also won awards while playing on Hilltop High’s soccer (coach’s award) and volleyball (team leader) team ... A scholar-athlete.
