Jaguar Highlights: Listed as the starter at ‘Mike’ linebacker entering fall camp ... Named preseason third-team all-Sun Belt Conference by Phil Steele Publications as well as Athlon Sports ... Did not practice during the spring while recuperating from injury.

As A Junior (2016): Started all but one of South’s 13 contests his first season with the program ... Was named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Newcomer Team after leading the Jaguars with 100 total tackles, the sixth-highest season total in school history ... Was credited with 7½ stops behind the line of scrimmage including a sack, four quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery and one pass broken up as well ... Led the squad in tackles on a team-high four occasions ... Posted a career-high 16 tackles against Air Force at the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl, which ranked fifth on the school game record list and was the most by a Jag on the year ... That total included a pair of stops for a loss of five yards ... Recorded a game-best 14 stops — with two behind the line — at Sun Belt co-champion Arkansas State ... Received the coaches’ linebacker award after finishing with a game-high 13 tackles and one quarterback pressure in defeat of Presbyterian ... Made 11 tackles at Louisiana-Monroe ... Credited with a team-leading nine stops in win over Nicholls, with one of those for loss to go along with a fumble recovery ... Ended up with eight tackles, including one behind the line of scrimmage, and a quarterback hurry at Idaho ... Had six tackles, highlighted by a sack for a loss of nine yards, in Homecoming victory over Georgia State ... Posted six stops and forced a fumble in home opener against Georgia Southern ... Made five tackles in win at Mississippi State to begin the campaign, the program’s first over a Southeastern Conference school ... Recorded four stops in defeat of New Mexico State in regular-season finale to help Jaguars become eligible for a postseason bowl as well as at Louisiana-Lafayette ... Finished with three tackles and a quarterback pressure to earn the coaches’ award after win over 19th-ranked San Diego State, the team’s first-ever over a top-25 program.

Junior College Highlights (2015): Ranked fourth on the team as a sophomore with 68 total tackles and was fifth with 11½ stops for loss ... Forced one fumble and had two fumble recoveries as well ... Credited with a double-figure tackle total in three straight contests including a career-best 12 — with 2½ behind the line — at Independence (Kan.) CC ... Collected three tackles for loss among his 11 total stops the following week at Iowa Western, adding 11 more against Hutchinson (Kan.) CC ... Posted eight stops at Fort Scott (Kan.) CC, with two of those behind the line of scrimmage, to go along with a fumble recovery ... Had seven tackles both in season-opening win over Highland (Kan.) CC and against Air Force Prep ... Finished with six stops — all unassisted — including two for loss with his lone sack of the year against Dodge City (Kan.) ... Also had six tackles, forcing and recovering a fumble, in match-up with Ellsworth (Iowa) CC.

At Oregon State (2013-14): One of three true freshmen to play at Oregon State during the 2013 campaign, he appeared in all 12 contests — recording a total of nine stops — while helping the Beavers go 7-6 after defeating Boise State in the Sheraton Hawai’i Bowl ... Collected three stops against Washington and Boise State ... Sat out as a redshirt the following year, but was voted OSU’s scout team defense MVP.

High School Highlights: A three-year letterwinner at John B. Connally HS ... Played in the International Bowl organized by the International Federation of American Football following the conclusion of his prep career ... A two-time first-team all-district selection at defensive end and inside linebacker ... After recording a team-high 111 tackles — including 10 behind the line — a blocked punt (TD) and two forced fumbles as a senior was named to the Austin American-Statesman’s all-Central Texas Team ... Was also chosen the team’s Defensive MVP after helping the Cougars reach the state playoffs that year ... Served as team captain his final season on the varsity ... Lettered in track and field, wrestling and powerlifting as well ... Competed in relays — running the anchor leg for three teams — the shot put and discus ...
