Zach Crisler returned to Mobile to coach South Alabama's quarterbacks ahead of the 2025 season.
Crisler previously served as a graduate assistant for the Jaguars during the 2021 and 2022 campaigns.
Crisler made his way back to Mobile after a stint at Auburn where he served as an offensive analyst, working with the Tigers' running backs for two seasons. At Auburn, Crisler's star pupil was Jarquez Hunter, who rushed for 1,201 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024. He was then drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. In 2023, Hunter also rushed for 909 yards and seven touchdowns for the Tigers.
Before his original stop at South Alabama, Crisler coached as a graduate assistant at North Alabama. He coached the offensive line in 2019 before working with the running backs in 2020. Crisler's collegiate coaching career started at Pearl River Community College where he worked with the running backs.
Crisler graduated from Arkansas State in 2016 where he played defensive back for the Red Wolves. He then stayed in Jonesboro for one year after graduation to coach tight ends and running backs at Nettleton High School.
