Andy Parham

Andy Parham begins his first season as the University of South Alabama’s director of football video.

His responsibilities with the program will include coordinating the filming and breakdown of practices and games for coaches’ analysis, directing the production of motivational, promotional, and recruiting highlights, and overseeing the exchange of video with opponents.

For the past year-plus Parham was the director of athletic video at fellow Sun Belt Conference member Louisiana-Monroe.  His responsibilities with the Warhawk football program involved managing coaches’ video including supervising the filming of practices and games, creating game edits and handling the exporting process and Ipad workflow, and importing opponent game film.  He also managed live streaming operations for ULM home baseball, softball and volleyball contests as well as the instant replay system for men’s and women’s basketball, and oversaw a staff of interns and students.

He also had experience teaching students about the day-to-day operations  of a video department during practicum courses.

In the spring and summer of 2014 Parham was a video production assistant for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, then the Carolina League ‘HiA’ affiliate of the Texas Rangers.  His duties with the club included producing and directing game broadcasts for the franchise and MiLB.com, and designing and generating entertainment and graphics for the stadium video board.  He also produced a biweekly cable television series, and was in charge of managing game media archives as well as production of the game day script.

That fall, he served as a football video intern at Northwestern, assisting the Wildcats’ director of video operations with the day-to-day operations of the department .  Those responsibilities included editing highlight videos, setting up meeting rooms on the road, and helping to coordinate students to film practices and games.

Parham earned his degree in communications with a concentration in media productions from East Carolina in 2013.  During his time as an undergraduate student he served as a video assistant for the football program for two years — helping to film practices and games, and edit highlight and motivational videos — as well as an intern in the university’s marketing and publications office.  He was also a producer in training with the Durham Bulls minor league baseball team, serving as technical director for more than 20 live broadcasts, the producer and director for 40 Triple-A and international games, and a supervisor of 80 high-school students.
