Joey Jones was named the Director of Operations for Jaguar baseball in August 2019.
Jones lettered three years for the Jaguars from 2015-17, and helped lead the program to consecutive NCAA Regional appearances (2016-17) as well as two Sun Belt Conference championships (2015-16) and one Sun Belt Conference Tournament title (2017).
Prior to his playing career at South Alabama, the Trussville, Ala., native lettered two years at Lawson State (Ala.) Community College in Birmingham, Ala. Jones also served as a graduate assistant for two seasons at USA (2018-19) before being named Director of Operations.
He earned a bachelor's degree in sports management from South Alabama in 2016, and received a master's degree in sports management from USA in 2018.Â
