Biography

Summer 2012:  Named a Valley Baseball League (VBL) All-Star, and was twice selected the league’s player of the week as a member of the Luray Wranglers ... Led the Wranglers in batting average (.387), slugging percentage (.605) and on-base percentage (.437) ... Ranked second on the team in hits (48) and total bases (75) ... Finished tied for second in doubles (10) and homers (5) ... His .387 batting average ranked third in the VBL ... Also played with the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the Cape Cod League at the conclusion of the VBL season, where he hit .167 with three runs and a stolen base in five games.

Junior (2012):  Batted .307 with a double, 10 RBI, 14 runs and a stolen base in 32 games ... Led the Jags with a .377 batting average in 20 Sun Belt Conference games ... Missed 25 games due to injury, but returned for the final month-and-a-half of the season ... Made 17 starts at shortstop, and seven each at second base and third base ... Recorded 10 multiple-hit games and drove in multiple runs twice ... Hit safely in his final eight games of the season, half of which were multiple-hit contests ... Also hit safely in his final five SBC games ... Recorded a career-high four hits against Louisiana at Lafayette (April 20) ... Posted three consecutive games with three-plus hits (April 15-20) ... Recorded his first career hit in the Jags’ season opener against No. 32 College of Charleston ... Collected his first career RBI against Jackson State (Feb. 21) ... Drove in a career-high two runs in that game, and matched that total against Louisiana at Lafayette (April 20).

Junior college:  Batted .370 with six doubles, three triples and 38 RBI as a sophomore at Northwest Shoals Community College his last season to earn second-team all-Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) and second-team all-Northern League honors ... Scored 47 runs in 48 games played, stole 28 bases in 29 attempts and recorded a .436 on-base percentage ... Batted .302 with 57 runs scored, 12 doubles, two triples, two homers, 37 RBI and 18 stolen bases as a freshman.

High school:  Lettered four years at Niceville [Fla.] HS ... Earned class 4A-5A honorable mention as a senior ... Helped the Eagles capture back-to-back district championships in 2008-09.
