Biography

2011 (Sophomore):  Batted .330 with 20 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 25 RBI and 41 runs scored in 57 games, 56 of which were starts … Tied for fourth in the Sun Belt Conference in doubles … Hit safely in 42 of 57 games played … Recorded 21 multiple-hit and nine multiple-RBI games … Drove in a career-high five runs against UALR (4/15) … Recorded a career-high four hits against Auburn (5/17) … Batted .354 with seven doubles, one homer, 14 RBI and 18 runs scored in the month of April … Recorded three or more hits in nine contests.

2010 (Freshman):  Appeared in 25 games and made one start in left field … Batted .160 with four RBI on the season … Was the Jaguars’ top hitter off the bench, recording three hits for a .214 batting average as a pinch-hitter … Collected his first career hit and RBI at UALR (3/14) … Went 1-for-2 with a run scored in his only start … Recorded his first career RBI against Tennessee Tech (3/10) … Went 1-for-2 with a run scored in his first career start at Southeastern Louisiana (3/24) … Singled and drove in a run in a pinch-hit appearance at Mississippi State (4/14) … Singled in a pinch-hit appearance at FIU (5/16).

High School:  Played four years for coach Terry Turner at Anderson High School … Earned all-conference and all-state honors for the Indians … Holds school record with 49 RBI in a season … Hit .361 with 17 RBI as a freshman, .429 with 21 RBI as a sophomore and .488 with 47 RBI as a junior … One of only three juniors to earn Class 4A all-state honors … As a senior, led North Central Conference with .480 batting average, six home runs, .920 slugging percentage, 69 total bases and 46 runs scored … Also ranked fourth with 32 RBI, second with four triples and tied for third with 16 stolen bases in 17 attempts … Pitched 31 2/3 innings, posting a 1.55 ERA, good for second-best in the conference … Struck out 39 and led conference with a 1.01 WHIP … Earned invitation to Indiana Mr. Baseball Classic … Played in 2008 Area Code Games as member of team representing the Midwest … Played quarterback and defensive back for four years on the AHS football team … Member of National Honors Society.
