Biography

2006: The backstop of the Jag defense, Collins started 58 of USA's 60 games. As a sophomore, Collins batted .299 with 13 doubles, six home runs and 32 RBIs. Collins made a name for himself as a defensive star. He allowed 35 stolen bases and threw out 30 runners. He fielded .994 and stole six bags.

2005: Served as the Jags starting catcher in 2005...Participated in 57 of the Jags' 61 games as a true freshman...Compiled a .992 fielding percentage and lead the USA pitching staff to its highest strikeout total ever of 521...Batted .264 with 2 home runs and 31 RBIs.

Cardinal Carter High School: Lettered in three sports, baseball, and basketball...Selected to participate in the Team Ontario Fall Development Program as a 14 year-old in the summer of 2000...Played at the club level for the Richmond Hill Phoenix and over the past four years, his team had accumulated a 154-34 record...In 2001 hit.431 and helped his team to the Canadian National Championships...Selected to the York Region All-Star team in each of the last four seasons.
