Biography

 

2005: Started 60 of his 61 games played in 2005 as the Jag's starting shortstop...After a slow start Martinez rebounded in the second half of the season to hit .272 with three homeruns and 26 RBIs.


2004- Started in 42 of 56 games as a freshman for the Jags in 2004...All but one of his starts came at shortstop and the one non shortstop start came at third base...Martinez had a fielding percentage of .903, at shortstop recording 67 of 101 put outs...Had his first multiple RBI game of his collegiate career on April 9 at New Orleans in a 11-9 victory...Hit his first home run at home vs. Middle Tennessee State on April 23.
