SOUTH ALABAMA
2025 (Senior): Made nine appearances in relief for a 2.25 ERA in 12 innings pitched … only gave up three earned runs and put up 12 strikeouts for a 1.25 WHIP … Shoved a season-high five strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work and no runs at Alabama State (2/26). 

CAMPBELL
2024 (Junior): Made 17 appearances out of the bullpen and had a 1-1 record ... Recorded 13 strikeouts in 14.0 innings ... Had an ERA of 4.50 ... Allowed only four extra-base hits, all doubles ... Struck out the side in his one inning of work against William & Mary (5/17) ... Earned his one win on the year against William & Mary on 5/16, going 0.2 innings and allowing no hits and no runs ... Allowed his first run of the year in his 10th appearance ... Allowed no runs in 12 appearances and no hits in eight appearances. 

2023 (Sophomore): Made six appearances out of the bullpen with a 5.79 ERA … Recorded four strikeouts against 22 batters faced … Allowed only one extra-base hit.

2022 (Freshman): Made 18 bullpen appearances and posed a 3.50 ERA… Earned a 1-0 record and recorded two saves… Struck out 11 and walked only four across 18.0 innings of work… Made his debut to retire the only batter he faced against ECU on 2/22…  Pitched a scoreless inning with two strikeouts against Maryland on 2/25… Brought on with the bases loaded up by two to record the game’s final out and get the save at Old Dominion on 3/29… Earned the win by throwing a scoreless eighth at Gardner-Webb on 4/3… Tossed a then season-high 1.2 innings allowing only one baserunner at NC A&T on 4/14 to earn the save… Allowed a run but did strike out the side in his lone inning of work the following day against A&T… Threw a season-high 3.0 innings allowing three runs at Winthrop on 5/6… Faced two batters issuing a walk and picking up a strikeout in the Big South Championship game on 5/28… 

High School: Played for the Carlisle Chiefs for coach Will Inman… Posted a 5-0 record with a 1.33 ERA in 31.2 IP during his senior year… Was named first-team all-state and first-team all-conference… Helped his team reach the state championship during his senior year…  Played travel for the Dirtbags All Black and coach Jon Walker…

Personal: Full name is Garret Cole Kangas… Born July 30, 2002… Son of Mark and Rhonda Kangas… Father played college baseball at South Alabama and Gulf Coast Community College.
