“Well hello once again. I hope everyone made it through the week without too many bumps in the road. Sometimes it seems as if they all are on my path, but maybe I deserve it! Anyway, it is almost game day; actually in a little over an hour it will be. This is a huge series for us and I know we are ready to perform the way Jaguars do.
This has been another great week for Jaguar softball. Monday was our off day, so after class I got in some good studying but failed to do my laundry. That is a totally different story. To make a long story short, I have been putting off doing laundry for about two weeks now and I will just say I probably have about ten loads that need to be done.
Tuesday we had practice in small groups. Which basically means we got our swings in and then did a little conditioning and got out of there! We played Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday. Once again, Pilgrim threw a wonderful game for us. She only gave up one hit! I didn't bring a blanket or pillow on the bus so I couldn't sleep because I figured it would make me do some homework. It actually worked for the most part except I was freezing the whole time. Thursday we had small groups again, and after that some of the girls and I went to the pool to catch a few rays for a little while. It was so pretty outside, and everyone had the same idea as us so the pool was happening! Today we had a really good team practice. We got a lot accomplished and it really set the tone for this weekend. After practice Katie McGuire's dad took us out to dinner because he had just gotten in town. We went to Wings and it was scrumptious. After that we headed to catch the end of the baseball game. The Jag's got the win in the bottom of the ninth with a David Doss single to left field! There were amazing fireworks after as well.
I guess all that leads up to what I am doing now. I am actually lying in bed wanting this basketball game to be over so I can watch SportsCenter. Just to let you all know I am addicted to that show. I watch it every night before I go to bed and as soon as I wake up in the morning. It is probably a really bad habit because I can't function without knowing what is going on in the sports world. My parents are coming tomorrow and I am so excited. I feel like I haven't seen them in forever even though it has only been a couple of weeks! You can never get too much of your parents. Hold on, I take that back. Sorry mom.
Oh yeah, Danielle wanted me to mention her in my blog. I am trying to think of anything that she has done to be worthy enough to be a part of my blog. My mind is blank. Ha, she is just trying to be like me, but we all know that isn't possible. Soon enough I will think of something she has done that I can tell you guys about.
Well, I guess this is my cue to start getting ready for bed. I am so excited about tomorrow and think you all should come out and support your Lady Jaguars. It is our last home stand and senior weekend.
It's always a good day when you wake up knowing you are a Jag.
As always, go Jags!
