JAGUAR FRESHMAN TAYLOR BREAKS HAND IN PRACTICE

MOBILE, Ala. ? University of South Alabama freshman basketball player Brooks Taylor broke his left hand in practice and a timetable for his return has yet to be determined, Jaguar head coach John Pelphrey announced Monday.

 

Taylor, a guard from Monette, Ark., has played in 12 of the Jaguars’ 13 games this season.  He has scored 11 points thus far and has six rebounds.  He scored a career-best five points against West Florida on Nov. 22.

 

The Jaguars have three games this week as they open the home portion of the Sun Belt Conference slate.  USA stands at 7-6 and 1-1 in conference play as it hosts Middle Tennessee on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. in the Mitchell Center.  The Jags then host Florida International on Thursday and Florida Atlantic on Saturday.
