BASKETBALL PRACTICE SEASONS TO TIP-OFF WITH
MOONLIGHT MADNESS
JAGUAR MOONLIGHT MADNESS TO TAKE PLACE AT THE MITCHELL CENTER FRIDAY

The University of South Alabama will hold its basketball version
of “Moonlight Madness” Friday night at the Mitchell
Center.
Admission is free and
festivities will begin in the Mitchell Center front lawn at 8 p.m.
The cheerleaders, dance
team and mascots will be introduced, along with a roll call of student
groups. There will be a 3-point shooting contest, beginning at 8:30,
followed by a spirit competition, dance off competition. The men’s
and women’s basketball teams take to the floor for their first
scrimmages of the 2005-06.
At 10 p.m., the Jags
and Lady Jags will be introduced and each team will have about a
20-minute scrimmage before the festivities head back outside for
the “After-Party” in the front lawn of the Mitchell
Center.
The men’s team
will host the Coaches vs. Katrina Benefit Basketball Double Header
on Wednesday, Nov. 9. USA will play at 5:30 p.m. against the University
of Mobile and Alabama will face Spring Hill College at approximately
7:30 p.m. The Jaguars will open the 2005-06 regular season at home
on Friday, Nov. 18 against Spring Hill. Tip-off is schedule for
7:05 p.m.
The Lady Jaguars will
host West Florida on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. in its only exhibition
game before opening the 2005-06 slate on Nov. 18 at McNeese State.
The Lady Jags home opener is scheduled for Nov. 21 against Southern
Mississippi at 7 p.m.
